As a science graduate, I always felt that my interest for Molecular Biology never left me but was buried deep in mind, ready to be re-activated whenever the right moment came. Well, this excellent article from New York Times is just the excuse to re-kindle the fire!

Carl Zimmer describes the current perception of the gene, how it has evolved in the last 100 years and some stunning facts which requires us to re-think some traditional beliefs:
- The 21,000 protein-coding genes in the human genome make up just 1.2 percent of that genome
- Scientists estimate that a staggering 93 percent of the genome produces RNA transcripts.
- We can no longer think of genes as being single stretches of DNA at one physical location
- And many more...

This is a useful add-on (at least for me!)...I am often face with the situation when I have opened many browser tabs which I need to re-visit later, this happens typically after RSS feed review session. Now, I could use the 'Bookmark all tabs' feature in Firefox but this means a two step process: click the function and then press OK (or more if I have to rename the folder of bookmarks).
Enter 'Bookmark Current Tab Set': a one click 'Bookmark all tabs' including time-stamp of the new folder!
