A virtual PA for your calendar/to do/contact/ entries? Get out of here! But hang on...After a few test entries, this thing actually works!
Sandy is actually a very clever agenda recording system which operates via email...Using some basic and simple keywords (Remember this, Remind me of that, etc), events are triggered which range from calendar entries, reminders, to do notes, contacts and even bookmarks.
You can even tag your events for future referencing by simply adding '@'+label.
Here are few examples of emails that Sandy can process:
* Remind me to move my car in 10 minutes
* Remind me about my Yoga class on Tuesday, 8-9am @weekly
* Remember Patricia Jenter, 503-555-1212 @momsgroup
* Remind us to call Mom on her birthday on 9/16/07 @yearly @birthday
* Remember to read http://www.43folders.com tomorrow
* Remind Jeremy to take out the trash Sunday evening @weekly
The system is so powerful that it recognises the date to record the event even if it is not implicitly mentioned, for example: remember my marketing meeting this Tuesday.
Sandy can also be witty and surprise you with her quirky manners ('You are up late!' she says when I am emailing her from a different time zone).
I guess the biggest advantage of this tool is the time I save for recording an event on my calendar. I simply drop a short email.
Now, the unknown: does it synchronises with my Outlook calendar, as we well know I am quite attached to my personal diary (My personal calendar- an obsession). Well, it claims it can: I will only be able to confirm this when I am back home after my business trip this week (Good Lord, I forgot how Houston was hot in November!).
