Nothing excites me more than finding out what the Firefox community at large think about their best add-ons/extensions...

I was pleasantly surprised that my blog post on the extensions I cannot live without attracted a large response at the Facebook's The Official Firefox Community group which contains over 22,000 members, the right place indeed to gauge Firefox fans' passion for their browser!

For the benefit of the community beyond Facebook, I have decided to share these responses

one I use on a daily basis is repagination

For activity:

browsing sites that have "page 1, 2, 3" type links on the page so lots of clicking needed

Examples:
online albumms like face book, coppermine gallery, yahoo groups, etc

Advantages:
right click first page number and choose how many to load and you get a single tab with each page appended to the bottom of the previous page. No need to click and wait

Definitely Adblock Plus. I get easily distracted, so not having all those ads is nice.

Web Developers' Toolbar, without a shadow of doubt. =)

Haven't looked at AdBlockPlus, but ads don't really bother me much...

I just know that I can't live without firebug!

Adblock Plus
Download Statusbar
Fasterfox
IE Tab (hate to have to use it, but must because of some stupid banking sites that don't code up to standards).
FoxyTunes

Used to use Greasemonkey for some flickr and facebook userscripts, but they break so often because of changes in both sites that it was a pain.

I also have a post here,

http://www.ginside.com/buzz/xtra/firefox/

some great plugins that I've written some reviews about, ones I cannot live without.

Adblock Plus and IE Tab are the top 2...i always install those addons on my friends computers when they begin using firefox and I explain how to use it.

also Fullscreen Homestar Runner and tabscope.

Thanks for the great suggestions! I love Adblock Plus and Flashblock and noScript. Addbookmarkhere is one that is very handy as well.

CashAddOn - its sends a percentage of most things you buy online to your paypal account. They get affiliate money from hundreds of websites like eBay, buy.com, etc and relay it back to you.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5495

I highly recommend it.

Adblock Plus for sure!

Bon Echo on my new laptop rocks!

I like to keep it simple -- the only one I've got installed is Web Developer Toolbar. It's really useful for me. I used to have a few extensions running, but I like a very simple browser that I don't have to re-learn if I'm on another computer.

Can't live without "Web Developer", "Font Finder", "Gmail manager".... And "del.icio.us" too.

flash block is a must-have!

the IE tab inside mozilla is also useful - some uni intranet sites don't work properly in forefox :( shame on them

foxytunes is a good one too (unless you're trying to work, lol)

I'm pretty sure there were others but I can't remember right now :)

ABP Filterset.G

Fasterfox*
Faviconize Tab* (I currently have 33 tabs open at all times, very useful)
Host.IP
NoScript*
ShowIP
TabMixPlus*
Temporary Inbox*
Usage Counter
Video Downloader* (which for some reason, stopped working on YouTube)

ABP, NoScript, and WOT.

I wouldn't surf the web without them.

^ Ya know, I've always found that FF runs better (read stable and nimble) without Fasterfox, but it still seems to be very popular.

Anyway, two extensions I can't live without are foxmark bookmark sync and Quick Restart. I'd say adblock, but that one's been well covered by the masses.

The bookmark sync goes without saying. It's handy to have access to your bookmarks across any number of computers.

Quick Restart is like a pocket knife. If you've never used one, you'd never miss it. But after having it for awhile, I can't imagine downloading extensions or themes or tweaking my user files without it! It makes restarting firefox as easy as a hotkey or a toolbar button.

RSS Extentions for quick links for lazy people like me. I have to click on the actual internet sites at work but at home I just browse my tabs. I also love the cache clearer, the enable-disable java option and the pop up blocker. I also feel safe whilst using the add ons.

Well, I would have to say that I really enjoy FoxGame. It is only used for an online game known as OGame (www.ogame.org). It really helps me to keep track of time based upon my local time. Also, it allows uploading of specific in-game reports to a database. I also enjoy the fact that it custom colors messages, based upon who sent them and highlights large debris fields in the Galaxy view.

I guess you really wouldn't understand unless you played OGame but I do, so I guess that's that.

Adblock Plus. Download Helper. and I use redshift v2

For those using AdBlock Plus I might recommend using it together with Element Hiding Helper and Filterset.G Updater.
